Description
Wigan Council intends to seek Contractors to undertake Highway Maintenance Minor Works. This market engagement exercise represents the first stage of our pre-procurement process to determine market interest in the proposed framework agreement for such works and to discuss the scope of the works.

Categories of work envisaged to be included in the Framework are:

- Minor Repairs (Pothole repair / patching)
- Footway Construction
- Drainage Works (including gully cleansing)
- Road Lining and surface treatments
- Safety Barrier Installation and maintenance
- Traffic Management

For the avoidance of doubt, this stage of the project is not part of a formal procurement process and Wigan Council is not committing at this stage to carrying out such a process. Participation or non-participation in the pre-procurement market engagement exercise shall not prevent any supplier participating in the proposed procurement nor is it intended that any information supplied as part of the pre-procurement process shall place any supplier at an advantage in the proposed procurement process.

13 April 2016, The Pier Centre, Riveredge, Wigan, WN3 5AB, Greater Manchester (directions to The Pier Centre can be viewed at http://piercentre.co.uk/).

Interested parties are required to register for this event by sending an email to Highway.Maintenance@wigan.gov.uk by Friday 8th April 2016. The email should include details of your company's name and address, along with individual delegate details including a contact number and email address.

Places are restricted to 3 delegates per company.

Further details regarding the content of the session and the start time will be made available to interested parties following the close of the registration period.
