Main contract details
The provision will deliver accommodation and support which aims to increase independence skills and promote engagement with education and employment through flexible support packages.
Following a needs analysis it identified that it was necessary to re-design services on the Isle of Wight to meet the on going needs of a wide range of young people.
The service provided should offer a range of accommodation models in various settings providing accommodation based, personalised and outcome focused support that enables vulnerable Young People to become more independent across the Isle of Wight and surrounding areas.
The service should include: Staged support accommodation; including emergency beds where required (72 hours), Supported Lodgings, Self –contained accommodation with support.
Aims of the service is to; enable young people to become more independent, to avoid eviction and repeat homelessness, encourage engagement in employment, education or training, encourage move on to a less intensive housing related support service or permanent, independent accommodation when appropriate, improve the joint working of stakeholders in identifying the most appropriate housing responses.
The provider will be required to successfully engage with the young person and build appropriate relationships and provided a tailored support package to meet the identified needs of the young person. This notice is being used to engage any interested organisations that wish to help inform and shape the Authority's Supported Lodgings service prior to this service being tendered under the Public Contracts Regulations 2015. It is intended that a Supplier Day will be held on 7 September 2017 from14.00 until 16:00 at the Isle of Wight Council, County Hall, Newport, Isle of Wight PO30 1UD. Please email childrenscommissioning@iow.gov.uk if you are intending to attend this event by no later than 1 September2017. It is intended that the contract for Supported LodgingsServices will commence on 1.2.2018. We wish to encourage all interested organisations to register on the South East Business Portal.
