Does your organisation currently provide a day service for adults who have a physical and/or learning disability?
Kent County Council has reviewed the way that we commission community day opportunities for individuals with disabilities, and has put in place a new framework contract which came into effect in April 2017. The contract will run for 48 months in its entirety, opening periodically to allow for new providers and services to join the framework and further add to the diversity of opportunities on offer to individuals.
The framework will open again in the coming weeks for new provider applications to join the framework in October 2017.
In order to give Providers who were not involved in the pre-tender engagement a brief overview of the contract, and an opportunity to ask questions about the new day service model and the procurement process for the tender, we will be running two short information sessions in June.
The two sessions will take place at the following times:
Thursday 15th June 2017 – 14:30-15:30 (Maidstone area)
Wednesday 21st June 2017 - 10:30-11:30 (Canterbury area)
Please note the information given at both sessions will be the same – you need only attend once.
If you are interested in attending one of these sessions, please email communitysupport@kent.gov.uk to request a place. Please ensure you put “Day Opportunities Information Session” as the email subject heading and provide the following information:
• Which session you wish to attend
• The name and contact details of the attendee(s)
The deadline for expressing your interest is 5.00pm, on Tuesday 13th June for the Maidstone area session, and 5.00pm, on Monday 19th June for the Canterbury area session.
Places will be confirmed via email within 2 working days of an expression of interest being received. Venue details will also be confirmed at this stage.
Parking for these events is often limited at the venues, so you may wish to consider car-sharing or alternative transport options.
