Community Navigator & Well-Being Service - Preliminary Market Engagement (Virtual Provider Event)

This is a preliminary market engagement exercise, consisting of a virtual provider event being hosted via Microsoft Teams, related to the following opportunity:

PCC intends to run a procurement for a Community Navigator and Well-being service, which aims to maintain and improve the health, wellbeing and independence of eligible adults in Peterborough.

The service delivers an early intervention and prevention approach that focuses on people and their community’s capacity to self-care and manage as the first option.

The objective is to reduce the risk or deterioration of the person and subsequent increased reliance on statutory services.

This service is part of a larger programme, the Front Door Reviews and Community Offer “which aims to deliver cost reductions and better long-term outcomes by supporting people through reviews and initial care/support planning, focusing on needs that can be met without formal care both at first contact and review.

The Service will contribute to the Prevent, Reduce, and Delay agenda in a whole system approach contributing to reducing untimely and inappropriate use of Health and Social Care services.

The contract will be for 2+1 years.

This event is not a procurement launch and attendance is not a requirement for any future tender. It is intended to:

- Share the strategic context for the Community Navigator and Well- being service
- Outline the service and outcomes the Council is seeking to enable
- Test early thinking with the Provider market
- Provide an opportunity for Provider organisations to ask questions, reflect, and shape thinking before any formal process begins

- What attendees can expect

Attendees will:

- Hear an overview of why a Community Navigator and Well Being service is being commissioned and how it fits within the PCC corporate strategy around “Prevention Independence and Resilience.”
- Gain clarity on the likely scope of services, including:
- Services to be delivered and expected outcomes.
- Continuous improvement and whole system working
- Expected Skills and competences of staff and volunteers
- Data recording and collection

- Have the opportunity to:
- Ask questions in an open forum
- Share views and experience on what works well within the proposed service and what could improve it.
- Highlight risks, opportunities, and practical considerations from a Provider perspective

No organisations will be asked to submit proposals, pricing, or commitments at this event.
