Costa Coffee Drive-thru unit at B&Q Glastonbury

<p>South Somerset District Council wishes to invite Applicants wishing to complete a pre-qualification questionnaire (SQ) for the contract for the main works for the Costa Coffee Drive unit at B&amp;Q Glastonbury. This will be a 2 stage process with shortlisted contractors invited to submit a tender early in 2021. The project consists of constructing a new Costa standard format 1800 sqft Coffee Drive thru-unit within the constraints of the existing car park serving a B&amp;Q hardware store. The building contract will be JCT Design &amp; Build, based on a combination of architectural drawings and a Costa specification. A planning application will shortly submitted to South Somerset District Council and it should be assumed that an approval will be in place during the formal tender time frame. It is anticipated that the chosen contractor will be appointed in early March 2021 who will have a 6 week mobilisation period to allow the contractors consultants to produce the substructure and superstructure designs. Commencement of the works will therefore start in April and the contract duration will be in the region of 6 months, planned for the end of September 2021. Applicants must complete the Selection Questionnaire and respond via the Procontract portal by the deadline of noon on 11 December 2020.</p>
