We would like to bring your attention to an exciting, new opportunity that can help shape the future of Community Equipment Services (CES) in Croydon. We are holding a bidder’s open day and presentation on the 5th July 2023, and we would greatly appreciate your attendance and contribution as our options evolve.

The purpose of this event is to explore various possibilities for our service, and one option in particular we are considering which involves seeking market interest in establishing a new Employee-Led Mutual in collaboration with a partner. This mutual would be responsible for delivering future services to the Council and its other customers and partners.

Our current service has a proven track record of high performance and efficiency, offering a comprehensive Managed Service for Health and Adult Social Care across three London Boroughs. Additionally, we provide an equipment brokerage service to a further six Councils.

Our plan involves commencing a procurement process to establish a new Mutual in partnership with an external organisation. This collaboration would create a new Local Employer vehicle that fosters growth and supports the local economy, unrestricted by the limitations often associated with the public sector. This opportunity holds tremendous potential, and we encourage you to consider it further.
