Market Engagement Event - Potential Supported Living Opportunity In Dorset

Market Engagement Event: Care and Support at Home for Adults with Learning Disabilities in supported living services across Weymouth and Dorchester.

An opportunity to influence and shape the future commissioning arrangements for a group of up to thirty three individuals currently living in three 24hr on-site care and support services in Dorchester and Weymouth. The commissioning team are seeking views from support providers on the following:

• The most effective route for support packages to come to market (via existing DPS systems or through a full market tender)
• Most effective and optimum contract duration
• Options for person centered supported living models in shared services including Live In or support tenants
• Issues generated by TUPE (ex Local Authority staff) and how these can be mitigated (these services have a core staff team who transferred across from Dorset County Council in house services and retain both custom and practice working patterns and local government terms and conditions)
• Individual Service Funds as a future mechanism for delivering the personal budget
• Optimal timescales to execute the transfer to ensure continuity of service

All providers are welcome to attend. This advert relates to a proposed ‘market engagement’ exercise only and is not a call for competition. Any contracts for services or supplies relating to this exercise may be subject to separate procurement process(es) in accordance with the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 (as amended). All participants in this ‘soft market testing’ exercise shall be responsible for their own costs (including third party costs) and the Contracting Authority shall have no liability to any participant.
