Housing, Accommodation and Supported Living Review
Main contract details

Bradford Council Health and Wellbeing department, along with its strategic partners, has seen the health and social care system align with a single ambition for people in the district - Happy, Healthy and Home. In line with this vision we want to offer more choice in how people use their personal budget in accessing support in their home; within whichever housing model this may be.

A priority within the project will be to assess the current contractual arrangements in place for supported living. This includes both the Supported Living Framework and any Voids and Nomination arrangements in place. It is anticipated that this aspect of the project will take place within the next 12 months, with the wider review leading to development of a Housing and Accommodation Strategy within a further 12-24 months. In this period there will be continued development of the market, driven by outcomes identified through a robust period of engagement with key stakeholders. This may include development of new and innovative models of support in line with our vision ‘Happy, Healthy and Home’, such as Small Supports (backed by the Local Government Association and The National Development Team for Inclusion) and through more choice in how people use their personal budget through Individual Service Funds.
