Bournemouth Borough Council is seeking to purchase two new Land trains to replace two of its existing fleet.
The Council currently runs a fleet of four trains running over two different routes between Alum Chine in the West and Boscombe in the East of the Borough. The current fleet carries approximately 150,000 passengers each year. The trains predominantly run on the seafront promenade but the central route does venture into the town centre and along the cliff top.
The supplier must ensure the trains offered are able to meet the technical specification as outlined in the tender documents.
The Council is looking to place the order with the successful supplier at the end of September 2016 with delivery required to Bournemouth on 3 April 2017.
The supplier will be required to supply the two land trains with an appropriate warranty and defect period for a minimum period of 12 months.
A notice was sent to the European Journal regarding this opportunity on 21/07/2016.
