Description

Preliminary Market Engagement Event - This is “not a call for competition” and is not part of the procurement process. The Council will not be liable for any costs to the Supplier in participating in the PME. • Suppliers not participating in the PME will not be prejudiced from bidding in any procurement process that follows.

Wiltshire Council has recently completed a tender with Magna Housing Association (Based in Dorset) to award a 3 Year MMC contract to Rollalong (Off-site Manufacturer – based in Wimborne, Dorset). The tender was completed through a Framework, conducted by South West Procurement Alliance (SWPA).

There is now an opportunity for you to join a new Framework being delivered by SWPA to complement the 3 Year MMC contract by delivering the Principal Contractor role. The 3 Year contract with Rollalong, offers a pipeline of just under 1000 homes over the life of the contract and we are now looking to engage a Principal Contractor to work with Wiltshire, Magna and Rollalong to deliver the essential groundworks to bring these homes forward. We are inviting other clients, SME principle contractors, architects and employers agents to find out more about our work and what work we will be looking to commission from companies like yours as part of our ambitious plans across Dorset Somerset and Wiltshire.

If you are a client and want to collaborate with like- minded experienced clients to deliver net zero and zero carbon in use homes now, using the latest precision engineered factory techniques and our Easy as 1,2,3 procurement from your local regional factory, come along and talk to us the procurement professionals at South West Procurement Alliance (SWPA) and representatives from the Factory itself.

This is an informal event to share what we have learned in delivering homes for sale and rent in the affordable housing sector and to see what this local regional capability could mean for your business. The new approach to delivering high quality, zero carbon homes has been led by Wiltshire Council and Magna Housing, enabled by a Procurement vehicle (SWPA) to ease the procurement process. By engaging in a Framework, you will open your business up to a number of opportunities. Wiltshire Council and Magna are looking for SME contractors based in Wiltshire, Dorset and Somerset to support the delivery of the next generation of affordable homes and are looking for likeminded contractors who are keen to be part of this innovative partnership.

The Supplier Day, gives you an opportunity to come along to talk to SWPA about the process and the benefits of joining a framework, talk to Rollalong the MMC Manufacturer about how the factory and the site interface and speak with the Clients; Wiltshire Council and Magna Housing about their ambitious pipeline.

WHEN - We will be running two “drop-in” sessions on Monday 20th June from 10am – 12noon and 2pm-4pm. Please could you express your interest by specifying which drop-in session you would like to attend? Everyone who registers for the event will be sent links to two recent recordings to further explain the programme.
