Description
*This is an advisory notification of our intention to go to market for this project in the near future. This is NOT a Procurement tender opportunity advertisement. Please note that that we will disregard any "Expressions of Interest", as this is NOT a tender.*

Gloucestershire County Council held market events in July and September 2016, and is looking to advertise an exciting tender opportunity for a new ‘Prevention Service’ to prevent poor sexual health. We anticipate advertising this in the next 2-4 weeks. The service will consist of two elements;
• A coordinated ‘Prescribed’ service which supports good sexual health for the residents of Gloucestershire through condom distribution, community based HIV testing and support to people living with HIV and their careers.
• A ‘Developmental’ service that will use an innovative programme of interventions to support positive changes in peoples’ behaviour with respect to looking after and improving their sexual health.

Providers will have the opportunity to bid for either the ‘Prescribed’ or ‘Developmental’ service or can bid for both.
The Prevention Services will contribute to the following outcomes for Gloucestershire residents: reduction in unplanned pregnancies and under 18 conceptions; reduction in the prevalence, transmission and late diagnosis of STIs; and improved access to social and specialist care for those living with HIV.

Interest will be sought from suitably qualified and experienced organisations to provide these services across the whole county of Gloucestershire. Our vision for Gloucestershire’s service is one of flexibility and responsiveness that supports Customers to make sustainable changes in behaviour.

The quality of the Customer experience (both public and professional) together with the ability of the Provider(s) to engage effectively with Customers whose needs are greatest is paramount to the success of this Service and its role as a system enabler.

We are seeking Providers who are enthusiastic and share our ambition, and can continually develop a responsive service offer to meet the needs of Gloucestershire residents. Providers will need to assure us of the quality of their service, have a proven track record, provide a convincing picture of how services will be delivered; while looking to the future and how they will improve the service and make it more efficient.
