Special Guardianship Order (SGO) Therapy Approved Provider List 2026

Bristol City Council wishes to contract eligible providers to deliver Therapy to Children & Young People who are subject to Special Guardianship Order (SGO).
Providers for the delivery of therapy and support to young people subject to Special Guardianship Orders (SGO's). The placements service will use this Approved Provider List (APL) contract to directly award individual bespoke packages of therapy for children who are cared for by a special guardian.
Bristol City Council has a statutory duty to offer therapy to children with a Special Guardianship Order who have spent a period of time in care. The therapy itself is funded by the DfE via the Adoption Support Fund.
Providers must be qualified therapists.
Providers must be able to provide face-to-face therapy in Bristol.
The APL is being set up for Direct Awards under PSR 2024 Process B (Patient Choice)

Please note this is NOT a framework. Eligible providers can register interest for this service by completing an application form as these services can only be delivered by suitably qualified professionals to make the direct award.

Any expressions of interest will need to be reviewed by the commissioning team to determine eligibility before award. It should be noted that any expressions of interest will be reviewed at the Council's earliest convenience however 30 days should be allowed to complete this. There is no end date for providers to register interest, this will remain open for the duration of the contract terms.
