Provision of Electrical Installation in City Park, Bradford City Centre

Description
Bradford Council’s Department of Sport and Culture is looking to appoint a single supplier for the provision of electrical installations for outdoor events taking place at City Park.
The Council requires the provision of temporary outdoor electrical installations for outdoor events taking place in City Park organised by Bradford Council. Events can range in size from installing a supply for a catering unit to installing supplies for an outdoor music festival with stages, marquees, catering units and bars. The space has mains supplies sited around the site which will be the only supplies available. We don’t allow generators to be used in City Park unless there are exceptional circumstances. City Park is also used for non-council run events which may wish to use your companies services. The range of services required include:
• Responsibility for the safe installation, testing, operation and deconstruction of any temporary installations.
• Supply Electrical Installation Test Certificate for each event.
• Designing bespoke distribution systems for temporary arts installations.
• Working with overseas artists who are supplying their own electrical equipment.
• Sourcing requirements of other contractors and checking electrical equipment taking part in the event.
• Maintenance and testing of electrical equipment owned by Bradford Council.
• Availability to attend production meetings.
• Any work carried out must not be sub -contracted
Scheduled events for 2018 include but are not limited to:
• Armed Forces Day
• Bradford Festival
• Illuminate Bradford.
In addition, there are a range of ‘one off’ smaller events mainly between April and September that will require temporary electrical installation provision. Examples of other events that have taken place in City Park include:
• Tour De Yorkshire
• Sporting homecomings
• Royal Visits
Although the above events are planned for 2018, the programme will not be confirmed until after the budgets are set in February. However, events planned for 2018 should be used as an indication of main events taking place in future years.
A production meeting will be held before each event to discuss the electrical requirements needed. The contractor will submit a quote based on the installation discussed. The contractor will discuss any additional installation work with the events team before carrying it out.
