Concession Card Business Support and Development

The Carers Card will be offered to all unpaid carers who are members of the Carers Information Service across Bournemouth, Poole and Dorset. Initial work has been carried out to test if businesses are interested in offering discounts and special offers to scheme members. Scoping work identified 200 business of which 42 signed up to the scheme.
We are now looking to develop this interest and contract with an organisation to secure existing interest and expand the Carers Card scheme into other areas such as health care, retailers, leisure etc. We would not, at this point in time, want to include trades people, but would advise membership of Checkatrade and similar vetting and monitoring schemes.
The contract is for 2 years and has a value of £30000.
