Market Engagement Workshop - Integrated Wellbeing Service in Nottingham

<p style="text-align: justify">It is proposed from April 2024, Nottingham’s IWS will provide a single-entry point to holistic health and wellbeing interventions for residents wishing to address a lifestyle behaviour (such as smoking and weight management) plus support and guidance around factors such as emotional and wider determinants of health which may be having a negative impacting on their health. </p>
<p style="text-align: justify"><strong>The proposed services that are currently within scope of Nottingham City Council’s Integrated Wellbeing Service are:</strong></p>
<p><strong>• Stop smoking service</strong></p>
<p><strong> • Targeted Physical activity programme</strong></p>
<p><strong>• Healthy weight programme (Tier 1)</strong> - universal behavioural interventions for all ages i.e. prevention and reinforcement of healthy eating and physical activity messages</p>
<p><strong>• Healthy lifestyle programmes (Tier 2)</strong> - lifestyle weight management services provide diet, nutrition, lifestyle, and behaviour change advice:</p>
<ol>
<li><strong>Adult (18+)</strong> - community and digital based programmes</li>
<li><strong>Children and family (5+) </strong>- school and community-based programmes</li>
</ol>

<p> <strong>• NHS Health Checks </strong>to address inequalities and gaps in current provision</p>
<p><strong>• Mental and emotional wellbeing</strong> - 5 ways to wellbeing programme</p>
<p><strong>• Alcohol screening and brief advice</strong></p>
<p><strong>• Substance use screening and referral </strong></p>
<p><strong>• Gambling screening and referral</strong></p>
<p><strong>• Healthy conversations training</strong> - brief advice for healthcare, schools, and voluntary care sector</p>
<p><strong>• Social marketing</strong> i.e. targeted campaigns with local information</p>
<p style="text-align: justify">Nottingham’s proposed IWS will focus on taking a life course approach to prevention of ill health, valuing the health and wellbeing of both current and future generations. Addressing the wider determinants of health will help improve overall health improving the conditions which people are born, live and work.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify">This is a pre-procurement exercise being undertaken prior to commencement of a formal procurement process, to consult and analyse a specific market, inform the specification, and raise awareness amongst potential bidders ahead of the full tender process which will begin in Summer 2023 (exact date to be confirmed). An agenda will be provided ahead of the meeting.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify">Following the workshop, providers will be sent a link to an online questionnaire referred to as the “IWS Market engagement Survey.” Any responses will be anonymised and will not be shared with competitors. Please note, there will not be a requirement to answer all, or any question/s nor any limit on the number of words for each response.</p>
