Description
The main aim of the Obstetric Ultrasound department is to offer a high quality screening service to all pregnant women in line with National Screening Standards, meeting all key performance indicators. Where high risk pregnancies are identified the service aims to work in partnership with women to support informed decision making, swift diagnosis, prompt and effective management to optimize outcomes for current and future pregnancies.
The successful tenderer will be expected to be proficient in carrying out the full range of Obstetric ultrasound examinations;
To ensure that the mothers and their attending family members are made feeling comfortable and relaxed and that they understand the purposes and limitation of any ultrasound examinations;
To communicate findings clearly and handle any situations where an anomaly is found with compassion and professionalism;
To actively taking part to research and clinical audit on going in the Department.
