Expression of Interest - Springhill Dementia and Learning Disability Residential Service
Main contract details
Dear provider
We are delighted to follow on from a Market Briefing Session we did in January 2016, in relation to Springhill Resource Centre.
Rochdale Adult Care with Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale Clinical Commissioning Group have been given the opportunity to commission Dementia provision together with residential provision for clients with Learning Disabilities from a newly refurbished Council building located at the Springhill Resource Centre in Rochdale
The development offers providers the opportunity to be a part of meeting the growing needs around Dementia , early onset Dementia and also people with Learning Disabilities who are now living longer lives from a building which will have significant investment in it and has a lot of space potential to offer a range of provision
The new building will include delivery of the following services:-
• 18 residential rooms , largely en suite, for people with Learning
Disabilities, with communal space and a family room to support end of life
• A dementia unit, with 2 respite beds and dementia services, including provision for early on set dementia
• CCG commissioned services to offer support to people and families with Dementia and also a Project Co-ordinators role which will promote access to services operating from Springhill
• Dementia focussed day support in the centre and outreach day activities in the community
• A community café which will be dementia friendly, aiming to bring community involvement into the building
• Space for carers meetings appointment rooms and information and advice provision and training
We anticipate that the service specifications will go out to tender in April , through THE CHEST .
We would very much like to give interested providers the opportunity to look around the building with us before the tenders go out and think this maybe helpful to you.
We have therefore arranged two opportunities for the visits – both on the 23rd March. Only one appointment needs booking with us. The times are 10.30 to 12.30 and 1.00 to 3pm. There will also be opportunity to view the building again , once the specifications have gone out and we will give these dates with the tender documents
If you would like to attend, please can you let Megan Kelsey know (megan.kelsey@rochdale.gov.uk) by 21st March 2016. Because of the space available , we would ask if you could initially register one person from each organisation and indicate if you would need any further places if space is available
