Sunderland City Council will be hosting over two days four contractor awareness events for the upcoming procurement process to appoint a contractor/s to carry out a focused upgrade of the Council’s Data Centre based at Moorside.

This is a major ICT project for the Council which has received assured and authorised external funding. The contractor awareness events will provide an overview of the project, an opportunity to view the physical location together with details of the procurement route and timescales. At a high level the areas that will be within scope of the tender are physical environment improvements, new cooling units, electrical works and the installation of cold aisle containment.

The events will be held at Moorside Meeting Room on 30th and 31st October 2017. If you wish to attend an event, please confirm your date of preference and whether you prefer a morning session (arrive at 10:15am ready for a 10:30am start) or afternoon session (arrive at 14:00pm ready for a 14:15pm start). The address for Moorside can be found below.

The events will take the form of a one hour presentation followed by site visit to the Data Centre. Companies who wish to undertake the site visit will be subject to Non-Disclosure Agreement being signed prior to the visit. This will then be followed by 15 minute one to one slots for individual contractors to give any initial feedback, thoughts or suggestions to requirements etc.

To reserve a place at one of the events, please e-mail virginia.ainsley@sunderland.gov.uk advising your company name together with the names and positions of the attendees. Allowance has been made in the venue size for up to two individuals per organisation. Companies which have not registered their attendance or signed an NDA will not be permitted to partake in the site visit to the Data Centre.

Slots for the one to one slots will be allocated on a first come first served basis and you will be notified in advance of the event.
