Supplier Engagement Event for Carers Services in South Tyneside

South Tyneside Council would like to invite you to a Supplier Engagement Event for our Carers Services being held 10am – 12pm on Thursday 6th July 2023 at One Trinity Green, Havelock Street, South Shields, NE33 5RW.

The outcome of this consultation will inform the forthcoming tender exercise, which is anticipated to commence September 2023. This event will be focused around sharing our ideas for the future model of service delivery of Carers Services for both young carers and young adult/adult carers. We intend to share our proposed service model, and ideas, and seek your feedback about how a new model will provide a pro-active approach to identifying and supporting carers whilst incorporating all forms of informal caring throughout and making best use of resources and partnerships within South Tyneside. We will also take you through the Council’s tender requirements and timeline.

In March 2022, South Tyneside Council launched a refreshed 5-year Integrated Carers Strategy, which has been extensively co-produced with carers to inform our priorities moving forward. The current proposed model has been primarily informed by the Strategy, which we will present on the day of the event, with a view to hearing your feedback on our proposals, in order to shape the new service and specification. Participation or non-participation in this supplier market engagement event shall not prevent any supplier participating in any potential future procurement, nor is it intended that any information supplied as part of this process shall place any supplier at an advantage in any potential procurement process. Participation in the market engagement process will be at each supplier's own cost. No expense in responding to this process will be reimbursed by the Council.
