Preliminary Market Engagement Notice (PME)

The purpose of this engagement is to gather industry expertise, innovative solutions, and feedback that will inform the development of our final project and procurement requirements. The Council has issued this PME notice to raise awareness of a potential future procurement process and to give interested parties the opportunity to participate in a soft market exercise.

Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council (BCP Council) require an IT Service Management (ITSM) Tool to streamline and optimize IT service delivery and support processes within the Council.

The Council requires the services of a suitable supplier to provide and maintain an IT Service Management (ITSM) tool that can support the Council's IT operations and service delivery.

The anticipated procurement timeline is to publish the tender in May 2024 and complete the contract award in October 2024.

The contract would be for five years with options to extend annually for a further five years (5+3+2). Therefore, if all extensions were taken the full length of the contract would be for ten years.

We invite recommendations from suppliers as part of the early market engagement discussions and we expect to schedule demonstrations from those suppliers that are shortlisted. Demonstrations are expected to be held w/c 22nd April 2024.

Further information around the demonstrations will be provided to those shortlisted. Please note that depending on the number of applications we may not be able to arrange demonstrations with all suppliers.

This Preliminary Market Engagement notice is not a call for competition and no contract(s) will be awarded at this stage.
The Council reserves the right not to proceed with the planned public procurement exercise. Interested parties should note that they are responsible for their own costs in participating in this pre-market engagement exercise and the Council shall in no event, be responsible for any costs of any party.
