Description
The Delivery Partners of the Ways to Work project would like to commission a supplier to carry out an independent comprehensive and robust evaluation of the project.

The main aims of the evaluation are to:
• Provide an impartial view on the strengths and weaknesses of the project
• Assess how effectively the Ways to Work project is meeting the needs of unemployed and inactive Liverpool City Region residents.
• Confirm the project achievements – identifying key reasons for achievement/non-achievement of outputs and results.
• Assess the added value of integrated delivery of the Ways to Work project across the Liverpool City Region.
• Identify lessons learned (both strategic and operational) from the inventions and make recommendations for future and wider dissemination. It is hoped that a comprehensive and robust evaluation can be used to inform and shape future projects in the Liverpool City Region.

The Ways to Work project is designed to provide a range of services to residents across the Liverpool City Region to enhance their employability skills and enable them to progress to sustainable employment.

Participants registered on the Ways to Work project are given bespoke one-to-one support, information, advice and guidance from experienced Guidance Officers based on their individual needs. Examples of the support provided include:

• Help with CV preparation
• On-going quality Information, Advice and Guidance
• Mentoring and Coaching
• Mock Interviews/interview skills
• Employability skills including confidence building
• Assistance with on-line recruitment
• Digital and IT skills training
• Basic Skills: literacy and numeracy
• Employer led pre-recruitment courses leading to guaranteed job interviews
• Work experience placements
• Intensive job search
• Access to transitional employment placements (ILMs)
• Access to Employability Fund (e.g. clothing, equipment, licenses, training; travel costs; etc)

Experienced Ways to Work Employer Liaison teams also work directly with local employers to capture vacancy and up to date labour market information. With this knowledge they can then arrange customised employer led training for participants on the project.
