Elections Printing and Transport Requirements 2021-2025

<p>The Electoral Services has two distinct functions; Electoral Registration and Elections. The Electoral Registration and Returning Officer is the Chief Executive Officer of Cornwall Council, who in turn appoints deputies who are required in law to prepare and maintain the register of electors, lists of absent voters and to deliver secure and robust elections. The service is required to deliver; UK Parliamentary, Unitary, Town &amp; Parish Elections, Business improvement district ballots, Neighbourhood Plan referendums and Parish Polls. The service also delivers the Police and Crime Commissioners election for Devon and Cornwall.</p>
<p>Cornwall Electoral Services has approximately: 440,000 electors 260,000 households 6 Parliamentary Constituencies 123 Divisions 210 Town &amp; Parish Councils 75,000 postal votes Employment of 1,700 casual staff The electoral registration service and elections are a statutory function that the council has to carry out. The Returning Officer has a duty to carry out elections within a statutory timeline but needs to ensure that it is cost effective for each elector. Each election there are multiple stakeholders across the region and throughout the process, that work together in order to achieve the statutory work and ensure that the electors have confidence in the whole process.</p>
<p>Cornwall Council have 450 polling stations across the region that require the following products and services:-</p>
<p>Printing of ballot papers for in person voting,&nbsp;Printing and mailing of postal ballot packs,&nbsp;Printing and mailing of poll cards&nbsp;</p>
<p>Transport of stationery and equipment. Transportation of Polling booths delivered and collected in a timely manner</p>
