Children's Social Worker Campaign
Main contract details
• Following recent internal changes we are now in a position to recruit 5 Social Workers and 1 Team Manager into Social Worker teams across ACP, Child Protection and Children in Need. The levels we are recruiting for are Consultant Social Worker, Experienced Social Worker and Social Worker. All candidates must be willing to work on a permanent basis. Temporary recruitment is not included in this process.
• We will be running internal and external campaigns to recruit into the new structure. Due to a local shortage of candidates available and wishing to work on a permanent basis, we will also engage with agencies to support permanent recruitment and use their networks and expertise to fill roles.
• Multiple agencies will be engaged to support this recruitment subject to agreeing 12.5% placement fee, per successful hire.
• The target outcome is to fill 6 roles across the service.
• Agencies will advertise and use their networks to identify candidates interested in working for SBC on a permanent basis. They will discuss the role fully with potential candidates to ensure they meet the essential criteria as stated in the relevant job descriptions provided prior to submitting CV’s. SBC will share an overview of full team requirements and the proposed structure. SBC may consider CV’s from candidates who may not meet the full training requirements but are able to demonstrate they are working towards completion – the agency must highlight the shortfall when submitting candidate information.
• We would like agencies to qualify candidates based on candidate experience, skills, future career aspirations, salary and location, and provide recommendations to SBC to review.
• SBC will review and shortlist candidates who meet the criteria based on the job description, CV and any supporting information submitted via the agency. SBC will shortlist and liaise with each agency to arrange interviews.
• Agencies will work with their candidates and SBC to ensure the interview process is managed effectively and candidates are fully briefed prior to arriving. SBC will provide the relevant information to support this.
• Following the interviews SBC will provide candidate feedback and advise the relevant agency of the outcome - successful/ unsuccessful candidates.
• Agencies will support SBC with the offer and on-boarding process in terms of liaising with their candidates and information to progress or if candidates are slow in submitting information to progress and start within the organisation.
