Ideally a site approximately 2.5 hectares is required, with a layout/design that offers an efficient waste disposal service.

The site should also ideally have the capacity and potential to: • receive and bulk other household waste streams collected at local Household Waste Recycling Centres (HWRCs) in Folkestone and New Romney (e.g. wood, metal, etc.); and • provide ad hoc and/or emergency continuity services for receiving and transferring waste collected by neighbouring Waste Collection Authorities (e.g. Ashford Borough Council, etc.).
