Southport Air Show 2019 - PA & Commentary Unit

Sefton Council’s Tourism Department is responsible for arranging events for the Southport area which includes the Southport Air Show. This event is hugely popular and well attended. In 2019 this event will take place in September.

Description

Southport Air Show requires a PA system to cover the public areas of the event to enable messages, show information and music to be communicated to the customers. This will also be used to communicate any emergency messages if required.

We will also require a double storey mobile commentary unit for the Air Display Team to work from as the Air Traffic Control.

Specification

To supply and install PA System and provide a double storey Commentary Unit for Southport Air Show to include:-
• A cherry picker for installation.
• A mobile two-storey commentary/control unit, to be used as the Air Traffic Control base, provided with 2 microphones, 1 radio mic, telephone sockets, mixing desk for the PA and all the necessary cabling.
• Main public area on the sea front – Horn speakers on the lampposts landward side to cover the public area and beach. Horn speakers on the crowd line to cover the beach area (these need to be fixed onto the poles into the sand).
• Public address system for traders area to link into the PA system for commentary.
• Public address system for the extended area towards the Eco Centre and entrance, to cover the path, beach and road to entrance.
• Public address system for the Pier Horn speakers, to cover a length of approximately 50m.
• All sound crew and technical staff required for the above equipment/job will be included in the quotation cost.
• Sefton Council will provide the power for the PA system.
• Coverage as per site plan attached.
• All equipment must be installed by Thursday 5th September 2019.
