Prior Information Notice – Young People’s Sexual Health Service for Camden and Islington

Young People’s Sexual Health services are commissioned by Camden and Islington Public Health. Our current services are delivered by three (3) providers across Camden and Islington. These services aim to support young people under 25 to live healthier lives in respect of their sexual health. This is done through a range of services including sexual health clinics, one-to-one support, targeted support, outreach clinics, and relationship and sex education for both teachers and secondary pupils. The service supports the delivery of three main sexual health Public Health outcomes for young people up to the age of 25: 1. The prevention of under 18 conceptions 2. The prevention and early diagnosis of Chlamydia diagnosis (15-24 year olds) 3. Decreasing numbers of people presenting with HIV at a late stage of infection These contracts are coming to an end on 31 March 2022 and the Council would like to review the current provision with support from young people with an aim to use this feedback to develop our existing offer. The core clinic offer is currently delivered from three separate buildings however we will consider other service delivery models based on the feedback from stakeholders and young people. We aim to advertise this opportunity in June 2021. We would welcome your feedback to a short market engagement questionnaire.
