Purpose of Quote

Bids are invited to purchase a steel bridge from Warrington BC.

Description of Bridge

All Steel, lightweight, low profile steel bridge with steel parapets. The deck is chequer plate and its overall loading capacity is 44 tonne. Bridge weight is 12 tonne. The bridge comes with Certificate of Vesting Materials and AutoCAD drawing.The bridge spans 15m and is 3m wide its weight is 12 tonne.

Bridge ideal Usage

The bridge is ideal for Golf Carts, Greenways and Cycle Routes especially with shared use with Parks Maintenance Utility Vehicles and Wagons.

Condition:

The bridge is 14 months old, has had a 6 months use for light vehicles and is in good condition.

Asking Price

Opening bids should be excess of price £6,000 (NIL VAT).

Location of Bridge

The bridge is located at Warrington Borough Council School Brow Work Depot, Grey Street, Fairfield and Howley, Warrington WA1 2PH.

Collection

The buyer will need to organise crane lift onto haulage vehicles to cart away from secured depot to land in control of the purchaser without causing a nuisance.

Access

The depot which is easily accessible from A57 Manchester Road that runs west to east along a length of between Cockhedge Green Roundabout and its junction with Church Street Grey Street provides crane access from the A57 Manchester Road to the depot.
Collection, Crane Access and Bridge Viewing

The buyer will need to arrange for a crane lift onto appropriate haulage vehicle. There is direct access for the crane via Grey Street Gated Entrance between Monday to Friday 09:30am to 16.00Hrs. A representative of Warrington Council would meet the successful Tender to ensure the bridge is lifted and removed with the approval of the Waste Depot Manager. The Tenderer should submit an appropriate Method Statement outlining the Crane Lift. The bridge can easily be viewed. Contact Mr Colin Jenkins on 01925 442669 or cjenkins@warrington.gov.uk.

Bids must be received by Thursday 12th April 2018.

Purchaser must comply with Chest and submit the Agreement found in the attachment

Collection Period:
