<p>Swindon Borough Council invites expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced contractors as a specialist to undertake the design supply and installation of a L1 Fire Alarm and subsequent strip out of the existing fire alarm system at Upham Road Adult Training Centre (OK4U) Upham Road Swindon SN3 1DH. Project description The contractor will be required to undertake the following works which is more particularly detailed in the RFQ documentation with a brief outline below: &bull; Design of the new system and preparation of all drawings &bull; Submission of building control application for the work &bull; Supply and Installation of L1 Fire Alarm complete &bull; Strip out of existing fire alarm system complete &bull; Any other associated works Bidders attention is specifically drawn to the fact that the centre operates 5 days a week and will remain operational throughout the completion of the works and this should be taken in to consideration when pricing. The contractor is expected to have a detailed knowledge and understanding of BS5839-1, the Building Regulations and any other relevant regulations and best practices as applicable to this project. Full details relating to the Works are provided in the Request for Quotation (RFQ) tender documents. The contract term will be for 10 weeks It is recommended that contractors visit the site to ensure familiarity with the site and work requirements prior to submitting a RFQ for this work. Site visits are available on Tuesday 26th, Wednesday 27th and Thursday 28th October 2021 only and an appointment needs to be requested via messaging in ProContract. Contractors will only be able to visit the site by appointment only. Full details relating to the Works are provided in the Request for Quotation (RFQ) tender documents.
