<p>Swindon Borough Council invites expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced contractors as a specialist to undertake the design supply and installation of a L1 Fire Alarm and subsequent strip out of the existing fire alarm system at Upham Road Adult Training Centre (OK4U) Upham Road Swindon SN3 1DH. Project description The contractor will be required to undertake the following works which is more particularly detailed in the RFQ documentation with a brief outline below: &bull; Design of the new system and preparation of all drawings &bull; Submission of building control application for the work &bull; Supply and Installation of L1 Fire Alarm complete &bull; Strip out of existing fire alarm system complete &bull; Any other associated works Bidders attention is specifically drawn to the fact that the centre operates 5 days a week and will remain operational throughout the completion of the works and this should be taken in to consideration when pricing. The contractor is expected to have a detailed knowledge and understanding of BS5839-1, the Building Regulations and any other relevant regulations and best practices as applicable to this project. Full details relating to the Works are provided in the Request for Quotation (RFQ) tender documents. The contract term will be for 10 weeks It is recommended that contractors visit the site to ensure familiarity with the site and work requirements prior to submitting a RFQ for this work. Site visits are available on Tuesday 26th, Wednesday 27th and Thursday 28th October 2021 only and an appointment needs to be requested via messaging in ProContract. Contractors will only be able to visit the site by appointment only. Full details relating to the Works are provided in the Request for Quotation (RFQ) tender documents. To participate, Suppliers will need to Register as a Supplier with ProContract, www.supplyingthesouthwest.org.uk, then Register an Interest before obtaining access to the tender documents. In the event of difficulties registering as a supplier, please refer to the System Administrator Proactis support team ProContractSuppliers@proactis.com RFQ clarifications to be submitted in writing via Messaging in ProContract tender portal, including the project reference and title clearly in the Subject title, by 9th November 2021, 12:00:00 hrs UK Local time. The Council&rsquo;s responses to these clarification questions will be issued periodically via Messaging in ProContract tender portal. RFQ responses are required to be submitted no later than Friday 19th November 2021 15:00:00 hrs UK Local time via ProContract tender portal - https://www.supplyingthesouthwest.org.uk/ Please note that this project has been advertised on Contracts Finder/ other web portals, however, Supplying the South West Portal, https://www.supplyingthesouthwest.org.uk/ is the only portal that includes all the relevant documents required to respond to this opportunity, bearing Project ID: DN 575847. No Tender submissions will be considered without completing the tender documents in full including attachments and returning them in alignment with the instructions within the tender documents.</p>
