Description
Trafford Partnership are looking to commission a service to deliver a whole-system approach to support vulnerable children who are at risk of repeatedly going missing from home or care, reducing partnership demand, increasing resilience and improving outcomes for vulnerable young people.

The aim of the service is to remove the ‘Missing from Home cycle’ by:
• Responding within the statutory requirement to providing a return from missing independent interview.
• Passing the information on to partners in order to safeguard the child and reduce potential risk to other children who are vulnerable.
• Engaging the child in an appropriate service through the Early Help hub (Talk Shop).

The Outcomes of this Service are:

• Reduction of first time missing 10% in first year
• Reduction of numbers of children who go missing 3 or more times in a calendar month. 10% in first year and 20% in second year.
• Reduction of missing episodes of top ten most proflic missing young people( outcome measure to be agreed on a case by case basis)
• Assist in safe location and return home via information sharing and innovative contact methods
• Increase number of missing interviews completed by 20% in the first year.
• Engage young people who go missing to engage in a wider youth provision to create strong peer networks, increase confidence and skill set of young people and integrate them into community.
• Increase referrals to SEAM (CSE) panel.
• Increase engagement of foster carers and care homes with CSE/missing agenda by providing:
• 1 session 3hrs a week in Trafford Children's Care homes
• 6 sessions for carers
• Development of information sheet for carers

The contract will be for a duration of 1 year from 16th January 2017 - 15th January 2018
