Trauma Informed Training Programme
Main contract details

Deadline – 5pm Thursday 20 May 2021

The Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner (OPCC) is seeking your expertise, enthusiasm, creativity, and commitment to work alongside us to submit a fantastic bid to the Home Office to deliver a Trauma Informed Training Programme across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.

As part of their ongoing commitment to tackle violent crime and reduce risks to the vulnerable, the Home Office are investing funding in two of the Countries Violence Reduction Units (VRUs) to provide a bespoke Trauma Informed (TI) training programme to frontline workforces, to achieve better results when they engage with children and young people at risk of involvement in serious violence.

Please note that only the OPCC can apply for this particular funding stream.

The OPCC leads a VRU and has the opportunity to apply for this Home Office funding to deliver a TI Training Programme. Up to £700,000 can be bid for and the TI Training Programme must be delivered between July 2021 (1 Oct 2021 at the latest) and 31 March 2022. There is the possibility of extended funding for up to a further two years but this is not guaranteed. The total amount the OPCC bids for depends upon the number of qualified, TI Practitioners and Trainers who are able to mobilise from July 2021 (1 October 2021 at the latest) and who are selected in this process.

Please click on the link below to be taken to the OPCC website and find a guide and associated application forms. This opportunity is for qualified TI Providers who wish to be considered to work alongside the OPCC and VRU partners to help finalise our application to the Home Office, and if successful, to deliver the TI Training Programme across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight (subject to funding amounts awarded and stipulations made by the Home Office or OPCC).
