Description
The Pest Control Services contract is for supplying Pest Control services divided in two separate lots:

LOT 1 – Surveying and Reporting with Prescribed Treatments and Preventative Measures
LOT 2 – Reactive Eradication and Preventative Maintenance Services.

The contracts would both cover approximately 200 sites varying from Administration buildings, Community sites, Children’s and Adults day centres and Nursery services, Libraries, Idea Stores, Park Buildings (boundary area only) and depot
The successful contractor for Lot 1 will provide a professional consultancy service and this will inform our Facilities Management staff to necessary building repairs and modifications. The annual surveys will have a set programme of works and give recommendation to the type of infestations and preferred treatments plan for lot 2 to complete.
Lot 2 will provide the service of eradicating identified pests and it will follow the treatment plan set out in the surveys that Lot 1 provide. They will also provide a reactive service for new infestations.

The contract is being procured using the Open Procedure and TUPE does not apply.

Contractors may only bid for one of the two Lots available.

Estimated value of the Contract: £75,000 per annum
Contract period: One year plus optional two years (2), solely at the authorities discretion.

Supplier Briefing Session

The Council intends to hold a supplier briefing session on:

Date: Thursday, 27th July 2017,
Time: 2pm until 3pm
Place: Tower Hamlets Council, Mulberry Place, Clove Crescent, E14 2BG.

The Purpose of this event is to inform the market of the Council's intent to re-tender the Corporate Cleaning Services contract and explain the requirements that will need to be followed and met to tender for this opportunity.

Deadline for registration to attend the Supplier Briefing (via email):

Wednesday, 26th July 2017 by 12 Noon

Confirmation of bookings will be sent via the portal/ email. Note that places are limited and, to avoid disappointment, you will need to express an interest as soon as possible. Each company will be allowed no more than 2 representatives to attend the event.

The anticipated contract start date is: November 2017

Supplementary Information:
Interested Suppliers should note the following:
• The Supplier Briefing Session is not a part of the formal Procurement process, which has not yet begun;
• The Council intends, after the Briefing Session, to begin a formal process with the issue of formal invitations to the market in the normal way, and commencing with an OJEU notice;
• Potentially interested Suppliers are encouraged to book places to attend the event, but attendance is entirely at a potential supplier’s discretion, and Council scoring of any future bids will take no account of attendance at the Briefing;
• Cost of attendance is entirely at the cost of suppliers;
• Suppliers will be limited to 2 places per Supplier, and names must be given in advance;
• At the briefing, the Council will give a PowerPoint presentation of what the proposed procurement will plan to achieve and the way the tender will be conducted.
