Community Based Wellbeing Services - Phase 2 Specification Development Workshops

Phase 2 of the Community Based Wellbeing Services procurement programme is due to commence in February 2021. This phase will consist of the procurements in order to award the following contracts for service commencement on 1st October 2021:

• Universal Wellbeing Services (Age 55+) (two contracts, in the geographical areas below)
o Dartford, Gravesham & Swanley
o Ashford/ Canterbury Coast & Swale
• County wide Specialist Physical Disability Services (Adults)
• Specialist Dementia Services (three contracts, in the geographical areas below)
o Thanet/ South Kent Coast and Ashford/ Canterbury Coast
o West Kent
o Dartford, Gravesham & Swanley

Thank you to all of the providers who attended the Phase 2 workshops for Physical Disability Services and Dementia Services in March this year. Your input and has been worked in to the draft specifications and these will be posted on the Kent Business Portal for further feedback by any interested organisations at the beginning of November.

On the 1st December we will be holding two further workshops relating to Phase 2:

1) Dementia Services 10:00 – 12:00
2) Physical Disability Services 14:00 – 16:00

These workshops will focus on any updates made to the specifications following their publication on the Kent Business portal and provide a final opportunity for feedback before Phase 2 commences. Slides and notes from the workshops will be made available for anyone that is unable to attend.

No workshops will be held for Universal Wellbeing as the specification for this service will likely remain the same as in Phase 1. Further information on the timetable for the Phase 2 procurements will be published at the beginning of December.

These workshops will be held virtually via Microsoft Teams. Please email communitywellbeing@kent.gov.uk indicating which workshop (or both) you wish to attend and you will be sent a meeting invitation.
