Gloucestershire Highways Term Maintenance
Main contract details
As a result of this change, Gloucestershire has been reviewing its highway service delivery model and considering ways to drive best value out of the additional investment to ensure the authority achieves a significant reduction in its maintenance backlog. This review is timely in that the Council’s current term maintenance contract is due to come to completion in April 2019.
We are looking to hold meetings with suppliers between 24th and 26th July 2017, to help to inform the future delivery of our contract.
It is planned that a subsequent procurement will take place in October 2017, with a contract start date of April 2019. The anticipated value of this contract is ~£25m.
The purpose of the meeting is to provide the opportunity for all interested suppliers to engage through a common format with the GCC Highways team. The format of the meeting is available as an attachment to this message and will be sent again when you register your interest.
The event will provide a suitable forum to gather feedback and ideas from the market and allow us to help shape a deliverable procurement.
Suppliers are welcomed from across the Industry, SME's as well as larger National suppliers. As part of the tender evaluation process suppliers will need to have a turnover of £50m or a Constructionline Notation value of £40m for Road Maintenance (Major Works) Term Contracts, therefore interested suppliers will need to meet these criteria in order to participate in the market event.
Up to five individuals will be able to attend on behalf of your organisation.
The meeting will be held at Shire Hall, GL1 2TG between 24th and 26th July 2017 for approximately 1.5 hours. Meeting slots are available at 10am and 2pm. Meeting times will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
If for some reason you are unable to attend on any of the available dates then you are more than welcome to provide feedback electronically.
