WISER MENA Programme Open Call for Proposals

<p>This investment by WISER will seek to strengthen Anticipatory Action within the MENA region. Bidders will be asked to describe how they propose to build resilience within Internally Displaced People (IDP) and refugee populations to weather and climate extremes and variability through supporting forecast based early action in Iraq, Syria, Yemen and Palestine.? Whilst individual early action protocols are envisaged to be required for specific communities, the aim of the grant is to support elements of an approach which can be replicated and adapted for different contexts. The grant will be accompanied by no cost Technical Assistance and Partnerships (TAP) from the Met Office to facilitate with the provision of weather and climate information needed to inform early action. Consortia are welcomed if an individual organisation is not able to work in all four focus countries.</p>
