Following the non-Award of an Open tender we ran Dec 2020-Feb 2021, Lincolnshire County Council (LCC) and its delivery partner (Black Sluice Internal Drainage Board (BSIDB)) are working on going back out to tender for the management, supply and preservation of water across the County. This procurement seeks to place instrumentation into water catchments to inform us of what happens to water from when rain hits the ground to when rivers outfall into the sea. The successful supplier shall provide and install the instrumentation and provide the technology to monitor and provide data relating to rainfall, water levels, flow rates and quality. This will enable the wider Lincolnshire based partners including LCC to:

develop sustainable water management practices

protect the environment

become more efficient in providing water for people to use, which is not the case now.

At the end of the contract, the Data will become publicly available and will be retained by BSIDB to enable them to make better informed water management decisions in the future so that water is managed more sustainably and resilience to climate change is increased.

Attached to this advert are Appendix J and Appendix K that show Site Plans for 28 of the 38 sites at which equipment shall be installed (LCC shall be responsible for arranging access for the supplier to all sites ahead of each phase of installations and that site plans or photographs will be supplied for every site within the tender pack). Appendices J and K contain:

photographs for the Standalone Sites

plans for the Pumping Station Sites

locations of power sources are in the buildings shown in the site plans (further details of these can be provided during Site Visits)

Further to this information, suppliers will also be able to attend Site Visits to carry out their own surveys if they so desire
