Description
The Core Fabric includes but is not limited to the following work categories, there may be instances where other
more specialist services are required as part of the Core Fabric service:-

1. Walls - Any defects and repairs to walls including general pointing and jointing. Walls can comprise of brick, stone, block or lightweight partitions. Walls can be internal or external.

2. Floors solid, suspended, concrete, stone, timber and chipboard. Repairs to include advice on any preservation measures required. Includes repairs to floor finishes including carpets, vinyl, parquet.

3. Ceilings- Including repairs to suspended ceilings, fibreboard ceilings, lath & plaster ceilings and plasterboard ceilings.

4. Windows- Includes Timber, aluminium & uPVC frames. Repairs to frames, casements, mechanisms and locks. Includes the fitting and repair of all types of blinds.

5. Doors- Timber (inc fire doors), aluminium, glass & uPVC repairs including replacement, rehanging and splice repairs, Repairs to frames and linings Includes all ironmongery associated with doors e.g. locks, lever handles hinges, door closer signage and fire seals. All works required to repair and maintain security and access control
requirements. Please note: this contract does not require the servicing and maintenance of any automatic doors and the
associated mechanisms.

6. Glazing- Repairs and replacement to windows doors and partitioning including all beading, putties and sealants.

7. Tiling- Wall and Floor tiling - repair and replacement. Replacement of grout and sealants.
