Description
Sefton Council is looking for a suitable supplier for the provision of a Public address system at the Southport Air Show.


Background

Sefton Council’s Tourism Section is responsible for arranging events for the Southport area which includes the Southport Air Show each year. This is a hugely popular event that is well attended.

Specification

Installation date from Wednesday 7th September to be completed by 12 noon on Friday 9th September.

Equipment breakdown can start from end of event day on Sunday 11th September.
(6.30pm onwards approx.)

Southport Air Show PA Requirements:-

To supply and install PA System for the Southport Air Show 2016 To include:-

A cherry picker and a mobile two-storey commentary/control unit to be used as the Air Traffic Control base.

Main public area on the sea front:-

120 x TOA horn speakers on the lampposts to cover the public area and beach

50 x Lamppost brackets and rubber collars to protect lamp posts

20 x Support poles for the beach

2000m Cable to link horns

50 x Safety chains and straps for secondary fixings

3 x C Audio power amps to drive in two Zones Public address system for traders area:-

To link into the main PA system for commentary or can be run as a separate zone

30 x TOA horn speakers

10 x Lamppost brackets and rubber collars

1000 meters of cable to feed the area

10 x Safety chains and straps for secondary fixings
1 x C Audio power amp to drive system

Public Address system for the extended area towards Eco Centre and entrance:-

The system will run as one zone to cover the path, beach and road to entrance

40 x TOA horn speakers

20 x Poles for speaker support

20 x Lamp post brackets and rubber collars

2000 meters of cable to feed the area

20 x safety chains and straps for secondary fixings

1 x C Audio Power amps to drive system Public Address system for the Pier:-

To cover a length of approximately 50m

All sound crew and technical staff required for the above equipment / job will be included in the
quotation cost.

Sefton MBC will provide the power for the PA system. Coverage as per site plan attached.

All prices to be listed individually on the Pricing Schedule in Part 3.


In addition to the Saturday & Sunday event days, it is planned to have a night flying event on the evening of Friday 9th September from approx. 6pm – 9pm. Please factor this in to your timings and pricing structure.
