Description
Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council is looking to contract with an organisation to provide a: Domestic Abuse Service in Tameside.

The Domestic Abuse Service will provide support and specialist services to families in crisis where the priority issues are domestic abuse, mental health and substance misuse.

The Provider will operate several elements relating directly to domestic abuse provision whilst sourcing and utilising other existing appropriate local services to support to victims of domestic abuse living in Tameside with the aim of reducing repeat victimisation and helping prevent the damage inflicted by abuse.

The Core Service elements of the Domestic Abuse Service are:

• All level care coordination including statutory IDVA provision
• Advice, Support and Access to Community Based Services
• Supported Housing: Emergency & Dispersed properties / Remaining safely at home

The purpose of this Service is to integrate the functions and services that are required to support victims of domestic abuse as a whole, care coordinating and navigating through their needs using both the Service and the network of other existing services and help that is available to allow the client to become independent.

This contract is planned to run for a period of 5 years commencing on 1 October 2018 subject to continued available funding and satisfactory service delivery.

The estimated contract value is £500,000 per annum.

The Service will be based within the Borough of Tameside and within the Contract Price the Provider shall source suitable premises and provide the Service from whichever premises, in the opinion of the parties, are most suitable for ensuring that the Service is easily accessible by Service Users, their families and other agencies.
