Background
The Single Homeless Accommodation Programme (SHAP) is a £200 million Government initiative aimed at ending rough sleeping by supporting adults with a history of rough sleeping and young people (18-25) at risk of homelessness. There is a lack of supported accommodation for young people in Dorset, particularly non-care leavers with high support needs. In response, the Housing Team secured funding for accommodation and up to 3 years of support.
The project provides bespoke accommodation for young persons aged 18-25, including a 6-bed unit with shared facilities and 4 self-contained units, all supported by a 24/7 on-site service.
The ideal partner will have experience in delivering high-quality, 24/7 support services tailored to the needs of homeless young people with high support needs.
