Aimed at: All potential housing support providers for people that present themselves to the Council as an immediate risk of homelessness. .
Background
The Council needs to increase the supply and use of appropriate temporary accommodation both at scale and pace, to alleviate bed and breakfast (B&B) and hotel cost pressures. One option being pursued as part of a wider B&B reduction plan is the use of block accommodation with on-site housing support that will enable the Council to provide more suitable accommodation to those who are homeless, whilst being better value than the use of B&B accommodation.
Provider Event
Liverpool City Council (LCC) is commissioning an on-site accommodation support service, which will support the use of block accommodation with on-site housing support that will enable the Council to provide more suitable accommodation to those who are homeless, whilst providing improved Value for Money than the use of B&B accommodation. This will consist of a temporary accommodation service for single people who are at risk of homelessness as assessed by the Council’s Housing Options Service and who have a Low to Medium level of support that can be met from within this service.
The Provider will provide an onsite staffed service, 24 hours a day; 7 days a week, 365 days a year for to up to 92 single people at any one time in specific accommodation in In the Liverpool 3 area of the city’.
LCC plan to go out to tender over the coming months, but first wish to engage with the market and suitable providers, at this planned market engagement event.
