Bournemouth Borough Council is looking for a supplier for the delivery and co-ordination of all of the medical services at the Bournemouth Air Festival.
The contract is for 3 years with the option to extend annually for a further two years. Therefore, if all extensions were taken, the full length of the contract would be for five years. The contract will start for the year 2018 with the intended Air Show dates being Thursday 30th August 2018 to Sunday 2nd September 2018.
The Supplier will be required to provide one main point of contact for the period of the contract and during the event.
The Supplier will provide a representative who will form part of the event command structure (Bronze Command) and will liaise closely with the South West Ambulance Service Trust (SWAST) member of the command structure.
The Supplier will be required to attend medical meetings in the lead up to the event which will be run and chaired by SWAST.
The Supplier will be required to attend various other meetings as required e.g. safety advisory groups, medical meetings, security and debriefs prior to, during and post event.
In the event of a major incident / emergency the Supplier will liaise with SWAST who will take medical primacy in such a situation.
All medical services, equipment, vehicles and first aid supplies will be provided by the Supplier and their tender should reflect this.
