Framework for Commercial Unit Refurbishment (including the Victoria Centre)
Main contract details
The Council is seeking to establish a pre-approved list of 4-6 contractors via a Framework to deal with capital projects in relation to the Victoria Centre (commercial unit refurb); the Council reserve the right to appoint more or fewer contractors or none at all as it sees fit. This will primarily involve unit refurbishment as many of the empty units have been completely stripped and need comprehensive enabling works to bring them into a condition ready for the tenant(s) to fit out. The Framework may not be limited to units in the Victoria Centre. This procurement will also result in the award of the first Call Off Contract for Unit F16-20 under a JCT Minor Works Contract (2016). The unit, which is over 7,000 sq ft, is currently a bare concrete shell and requires works to enable tenant fit out. These works will include: - A new glazed shop front - New internal finishes including new floor screed. - Provision of sanitary, water, electrical, ventilation, fire protection, communication & security installations.
