Provision of Training Programme Accreditation

Workforce Learning & Development is on an exciting journey and is working to create a flexible service that is future-proofed and ‘built to last’ for future years. Our service delivery model is about ensuring our longer-term sustainability, ensuring we are fit for purpose, solution focused, with a continued ability to respond to requests for diverse learning and development activities.

Our service delivery model is also changing. We are moving towards an innovative and creative model of service provision that encompasses more in-house training delivery. The aim is to increase the amount of in-house training provision, delivered by skilled and experienced Learning and Development staff, whilst limiting the amount of externally commissioned training to programmes of a specialist nature.

Accreditation is required for a range of training programmes internally developed and delivered by Workforce Learning & Development. This will initially include accreditation of face to face training and eLearning programmes, with the potential to include work placements, workshops and briefing sessions, once future priorities are known.

The successful bidder will need to be registered as an approved provider and possess the appropriate skills, qualifications and experience to provide an OFQUAL recognised mark of quality to a range of training programmes. The successful bidder is also required to be a member of Federation of Awarding Bodies (FAB).

The provider will be required to deliver the following:

• Mark of quality for face-to-face training and eLearning
• Scope to also provide mark of quality for work placements, workshops and briefing sessions
• Quality checks and audit of training programmes against an agreed set of standards
• Guidance and support regarding the accreditation process
• Support and advice regarding quality improvements
• Regular monitoring of record keeping, session plans, resources, evaluations, internal quality assurance processes, policies and systems
• Annual moderation visit for each training programme
• Learner certificates (as requested).
