Community Based Wellbeing Services: Specification Development Workshops

SPECIFICATION DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOPS

The second phase of procurements for Community Based Wellbeing Services is scheduled to take place between April and July 2020. Phase 2 will include the procurements of the following Contract Lots:

• Specialist Support in the Community for Adults with a Physical Disability (County wide contract)
• Universal Wellbeing Support in the Community in Dartford, Gravesham and Swanley (DGS)
• Specialist Support in the Community for People with Dementia, divided in to three contracts for the following geographical areas:
o Thanet & South Kent Coast and Ashford & Canterbury Coast
o West Kent
o DGS and Swale

In preparation for the commencement of Phase 2 the Council will be holding the following Specification Development Workshops:

Universal Wellbeing Services (specialist physical disability and dementia also covered) - 2nd March, 10-12, Mercure Dartford Brands Hatch.
Physical Disability Specialist Support - 3rd March, 10-12, Holiday Inn Ashford North.
Dementia Support in DGS, West Kent & Swale - 4th March, 10-12, The Alexandra Suite
Dementia Support in Thanet & South Kent Coast and Ashford & Canterbury Coast - 5th March, 10-12, Ashford International Hotel



The workshop on the 2nd March will primarily focus on the universal wellbeing specification, with the workshop on the 3rd focusing on physical disability services, and those on the 4th and 5th focusing on dementia services.

Slides and notes from each of the workshops will be posted on the Kent Business Portal for anyone wishing to see these.

Further workshops specific to Phase 3 contracts (Carers Short Breaks, Universal Wellbeing in Ashford & Canterbury Coast and Swale) will be held in the future.

Please email communitywellbeing@kent.gov.uk to book your place on any of the workshops. Numbers are limited to 40 people at each of the workshops so places will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
