There is a requirement for the appointed supplier (s) to hold a week’s worth of holding stock for all materials.
For manufactured joinery products there will be a range of associated ironmongery products to be supplied separately as part of the delivery to site. The specific product details will be made available to suppliers at the contract award stage.
All relevant products supplied through this tender must be independently certified by a credible, globally applicable forest certification scheme and suppliers must be able to demonstrate that the products are derived from well-managed sources.
The gates are required to be wedged and glued, vacuum treated softwood finished in brown stain and be of mortice and tenon construction. There is to be a maximum twist tolerance of 5mm for Gates, and a specific provision for Treated Softwood Gates.
Nottingham City Council Housing Services carry’s out repairs within the North, South, East and West of the City of Nottingham and it is essential that they have easy access to materials as locally as possible to complete all planned maintenance or responsive repairs. These materials need to be available at the right price, right quantity, right place at the right time to provide first time fix for tenants. The Invoicing of goods is required daily to support NCC objectives for closing repair jobs with tenants and should be supplied electronically.
We would anticipate the value of orders to be between £500,000.00 and 1 million per year.
Contractors must understand that predicting volumes and therefore overall values for work is difficult and no guarantee is given regarding continuity or overall value and will, therefore, not be able to claim for loss of profit, or any other costs resulting from an alteration in the scope or volume.
The contract is being procured by NCC for a period of 24 months with the option for NCC to extend for a further 12 months.
