<p>The purpose of this call to the market is to raise awareness and attract more Training Organisations to the South Tyneside Council DPS for Post 16 Education and Training. We invite Organisations who are interested in applying for the South Tyneside Council DPS F7604 Post 16 Education and Training to register interest in the opportunity. They will then be able apply by way of submission of a Selection Questionnaire (SQ). Once successful at SQ stage you will be invited to take part in future further competitions. The focus of the next Further Competition is Category 4 (AEB) is summarised below; This DPS provides funding for AEB provision for adults aged 19 and over and is aligned to the objectives set out in our Local Strategic Commissioning Statement. Provision must be deliverable within South Tyneside and the neighbouring non-devolved AEB areas. This provision aims to engage adults in learning which provides the skills and knowledge they need for work, progression in work, an Apprenticeship or further learning and includes the following: Statutory entitlements: &bull; English and maths, up to and including Level 2, for individuals aged 19 and over, who have not previously attained a GCSE grade A* - C or grade 4, or higher, and/or &bull; First full qualification at Level 2 for individuals aged 19 to 23, and/or &bull; First full qualification at Level 3 for individuals aged 19 to 23. &bull; Information technology (&lsquo;digital&rsquo;) skills, up to and including Level 1, for individuals aged 19+, who have digital skills assessed at below Level 1. Local Flexibility &bull; Approved Qualifications, categorised as Local Flexibility aims, up to Level 2, including ESOL and SWAP and components of these &bull; Non-regulated Community Learning provision Pre employability training as part of a Sector Based Work Academy (SWAP): There is a need to focus on measures that support the unemployed into work. SWAP does this directly through Job Centres and their work coaches. SWAP helps employers with immediate and future job needs by upskilling job seekers to fill locally identified vacancies. A SWAP placement has three main components: pre-employment training, work experience placements and a guaranteed job interview. The AEB funds the pre-employment training component.
