National Severe Weather Warning Service (NSWWS) Ad-hoc Surveys 2019 – 2021

The ad-hoc surveys to take place in regions where a severe weather warning has been issued. Surveys can be carried out in more than one region if the warning spreads geographically across the country. The contract will include maximum 6 AD-HOC NSWWS surveys PER YEAR done either with SMS or CATI methodology plus all requirements below:

Maximum budget up to £100,000 is to include all travel and subsistence costs, but excludes VAT.

to include:
• 6 AD-Hoc NSWWS surveys in one year (in two-year contract), SMS or CATI methodology (cost per wave)
• In addition to above:
• Any parallel or test surveys based on your experience/your own methodology – cost per 1 wave of such survey.
• Final Year End summary (the form of this will be agreed between the supplier and Met Office. Please describe your suggested methodology how to deliver this and the cost). This will be required after each year.
• Breakdown of any additional costs you may have (ie face to face meetings, or value added suggestions, T&S)
• Additional piece of research with school aged children -7 to 15 years old - (different sample which will require a different approach). Please include this in the budget only once, this research will not be repeated in second year)
