CJS2_220b Serverless Data Access & Visualisation Platform for C3S/CAMS Datasets

ECMWF, as the Entrusted Entity for the Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S) and the Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service (CAMS), invites tenders for the provision of an operational platform for Serverless Data Access & Visualisation of C3S/CAMS Datasets on the WEkEO platform (https://www.wekeo.eu/data).

The objective of this contract is to extend the functional scope of the CADS Infrastructure in line with its driven vision and architectural FAIR principles, setting up the necessary components that will serve to operationalise Serverless Analysis-Ready Cloud Optimized (ARCO) Services and Standard WMS/WMTS interfaces fostering improved integration, access, and visualisation of C3S and CAMS data portfolio within the WEkEO platform, CADS visual interactive components (VICs) and external 3rd party platforms and systems.

The scope of the work to be procured under this contract covers the following objectives:
- Implementation of the required Software Infrastructure components that shall support the operationalisation of the system.
- Development and implementation of data handling workflows for the generation of ARCO Data and Metadata out of the current data portfolio.
- Evolutive Maintenance and Operational Support of the delivered components.

ECMWF intends to award a single Framework Agreement for a period of 18 months, with the right to extend for a further 12 months at ECMWF’s discretion, which shall be implemented via a single Service Contract expected to commence in Q2 2024.
