‘Meet the Suppliers’ event: Humber High Street Challenge Fund

The Humber LEP has allocated £1m of Local Growth Fund money to regenerate Whitefriargate as part of the Government’s commitment to the Northern Powerhouse. This has been supplemented by funding from Hull City Council and Historic England to create the Humber High Street Challenge Fund which will provide grants to businesses and property owners to bring vacant high street properties back into use.

As part of the wider support and guidance that is on offer to the potential grant applicants, the Council is extending an invitation to relevant contractors and suppliers who are interested in setting up a stall at the event. Such suppliers may be interested in providing appropriate services to enable the works to be effected i.e. minor building works, shop fitting, shop frontage improvements, general construction work, and general property fit-out. This will allow potential applicants to meet relevant interested suppliers to discuss their proposals and, where applicable, to seek information related to costing and timetabling of works.
