Re: LIFE Young People and Young Parents Supported Accommodation Bidder’s Event

Dear Providers,

The London Borough of Hounslow has recently embarked on an ambitious programme of commissioning to reconfigure its preventative services; through the LIFE project. The project aims to ensure that the right people are able to access the right support at the right time to maintain their independence for as long as possible.

On 6 March 2017, we will be holding a Bidder’s Event for the LIFE Young People and Young Parent’s Supported Accommodation Service. The new service will empower 16-25 year olds in the borough with a range of needs (including high and complex) to move towards independent living and transition to healthy, ambitious, and safe adult lives.

This is an exciting opportunity for a leading provider to deliver a high performing service and to develop a long term strategic partnership with the Authority through a 4-7 year contract. We are keen to meet suitable providers to share further information about the opportunity and set out next steps. Specifically, the Authority are seeking to develop a partnership with a provider that:

• Is a sector leader in young people and young parent’s supported accommodation provision with deep understanding of the needs of vulnerable young people (including those with high and complex needs), access to significant expertise, and knowledge of evidence informed best practice;
• Is a reputable, responsive, and responsible employer committed to recruiting, developing, and retaining a high quality and diverse workforce;
• Is values led with a mission, purpose, and ethos aligned to the LIFE Young People and Parents’ Supported Accommodation Service and those of the wider Authority;
• Is able to add value to provision to enrich the Service offer for Service Users, including through attracting additional external funding;
• Is financially sustainable with robust governance and assurance arrangements;
• Is able to inspire trust and confidence of property landlords to ensure the smooth running of the Service;
• Is committed to developing positive partnerships at local, regional, and national level to benefit Service Users, including with landlords and housing associations to support move on to independence.

The event will be held on Monday 6 March 2017 at Civic Centre, Lampton Road, Hounslow, TW3 4DN starting at 10am and finishing at 12pm. Please note, due to venue capacity spaces are limited to 2 people per organisation.
